Cookie Policy

This policy explains how we use cookies and similar technologies. It supplements our Privacy Policy.

1. Scope

This policy applies to the Calanai Connect dashboard at connect.calanaihq.com.

Our marketing website at calanaihq.com is a separate property with its own notice. It is not covered here.

This policy does not apply to individuals who communicate with a business through WhatsApp or another messaging channel. Those interactions take place inside the messaging application and involve no cookies or similar technologies from us.

2. What cookies are

A cookie is a small text file placed on your device by a website. Similar technologies — including local storage, session storage, pixels, and software development kits — perform comparable functions. In this policy we refer to all of them as "cookies".

Cookies may be first-party (set by us) or third-party (set by a provider we use). They may be session cookies, which expire when you close your browser, or persistent cookies, which remain for a defined period.

3. Categories we use

3.1 Strictly necessary

Required for the site and dashboard to function. These cannot be switched off through our consent tools, because the service cannot be delivered without them. They are used for authentication and session management, maintaining your signed-in state, security and fraud prevention, and recording your cookie preferences.

3.2 Functional

Remember choices you make so we can provide a more personalised experience — such as interface preferences, language, and layout settings. Disabling these may reduce functionality.

We do not currently set any functional cookies. The category is listed because the choice is offered; the table in Section 4 shows what is actually in use.

3.3 Analytics and performance

Help us understand how the dashboard is used, which pages are visited, and where errors or performance problems occur, so that we can improve it.

These are loaded only if you allow them. We use Vercel Web Analytics, which counts page views without setting a cookie and without storing anything on your device. We load it only where you have accepted the analytics category, even though it stores nothing.

3.4 Marketing

We do not use marketing or advertising cookies.

4. Cookies in use

Everything below is generated from the application's own cookie registry, so it stays in step with the code. It lists the cookies we set directly and those set by the providers we embed.

We review this list whenever our use of cookies changes.

5. Managing your preferences

Our consent banner. On your first visit we ask whether to load anything beyond the strictly necessary cookies, and you can accept or reject each non-essential category individually. Your choice is stored for twelve months in the calanai_cookie_consent cookie listed in Section 4. You can change it at any time using the Cookie settings link at the foot of this page. If we make a material change to this policy we will ask again.

Your browser. Most browsers allow you to view, delete, and block cookies through their settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will prevent the dashboard from working, including sign-in.

Do Not Track. Browsers may send a "Do Not Track" signal. There is no accepted industry standard for responding to it, and we do not currently respond to it.

6. Third-party cookies

Some cookies are set by providers acting on our behalf. Those providers are identified in Section 4 and, where they process personal data on behalf of our customers, in our Sub-processor list. Their use of information is governed by their own privacy policies.

Our site may also link to third-party sites we do not control. This policy does not apply to those sites.

7. Changes

We may update this policy to reflect changes in the cookies we use or in legal requirements. We will revise the "Last updated" date and, where a change is material, provide additional notice.
